Management of the Tema Oil Refinery are to investigate the circumstances, which led to the pumping of brine into the refineries two operative boilers, the Crude Distillation Unit and the Residual Fluid Catalytic Cracker.
Nearly a fortnight ago, seawater was accidentally pumped into the boilers in an attempt to discharge the brine meant for fire fighting.
This incident according to reports compelled a slow down in the refinery's operations.
Engineers have been working round the clock to purge the plants of the brine.
Managing Director of TOR, Dr. Ato Ampiah tells Joy Business his outfit will ensure such errors do not recur in the future.
