The National Women's Committee of the Ghana Trades Union Congress has congratulated the Chief Justice Mrs Georgina Wood on her appointment as the Chief Justice.A message signed by Nadia Ibrahimah, Head of the Women's Desk said: "On behalf of all women workers in Ghana, the National Women's Committee of the Ghana Trades Union Congress hereby congratulates you on your appointment and subsequent assumption of office as Chief Justice of the Republic of Ghana".It said: “As the first woman to be appointed, we wish to express our unflinching support to you and hope your role as the Chief dispenser of justice in our beloved country will be used for the benefit of all without fear or favour"."We are confident that you can appropriately deal with the challenges of your high office and justify the confidence reposed in you by the people of Ghana", it added.Source: GNA
