A nursing mother and staff of Zoomlion died on the spot after a speeding Chrysler vehicle crashed them in front of the Logs and Lumber Limited at Asokwa.
The vehicle dragged the two to about ten meters before being crashed into a concrete wall on the shoulders of the Asokwa-Atonsu road.
Zuwel, popularly known as Frenchman had left Ahinsan office of Zoomlion to buy food about 5 kilometers away when he met his untimely death.
According to eye witnesses, the speeding Chrysler with registration GR 8331-15 hit the rear of a Toyota Yaris taxi with registration whose driver had then parked at the road side to buy sachet water from the deceased nursing mother, trapping a 6-month old baby in the wreckage.
But the baby who miraculously survived the accident is currently on admission at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital with the taxi driver where he is being treated with fractured leg injuries after the mother was pronounced dead on arrival.
For fear of his life, the driver of the Chrysler, a mechanic said to be test-driving the vehicle fled the scene few seconds after the motor accident.
