Deputy Women's Organisers of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Greater Accra and Volta Regions died in an accident Saturday.
Hajia Adiza Sali and Agnes Tia died when the vehicle they were travelling in collided with a Yutong bus on the Kintampo-Kumasi road.
The Greater Accra regional women's organiser, Vivian Ankrah, who was also travelling in the vehicle is in critical condition at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra.
The NDC executives were returning from the funeral of a sister of the First Lady, Mrs Lordina Mahama when the accident occured.
Hajia Adiza Sali was buried later Sunday in accordance with Islamic traditions.
The body of Agnes Tia has since been deposited at a morgue in Accra.
Deputy National Organizer of the party, George Lawson, has confirmed the story.
