Two students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), according to reports reaching Myjoyonline.com Friday, have been arrested by the police in Kumasi for selling fake tickets of Sarkodie’s Rapperholic oncert. The students, names withheld, were arrested Thursday night on campus by the Buffalo Unit of the Kumasi Central Police and are currently assisting the police with investigations. Kwabena Agyeman-Kobia, publicist for the concert told Myjoyonline.com that one of them was picked from the Splendour Hostel while “the other was baited to come and meet him at the junction of the hostel at Ayeduase, an area close to the campus,” and was also arrested. Unconfirmed reports indicate that the two students, who spent the night at the Kumasi Central Police station, told the police that a third person supplied them the fake tickets to sell. Interestingly, the students were also selling the fake tickets at the same price of the original tickets which were going for GHS35 regular and GHS50 for VIP. The concert in Kumasi will be the artiste, tagged as Ghana’s fastest rapper’s second Rapperholic concert after a successful one at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre on December 25 last year. Sarkodie used the first concert to launch his Rapperholic album. The Kumasi concert, Sarkodie Rapperholic Live in Concert, is scheduled to come off at the Royal Lamerta Hotel at Ahodwo in Kumasi on Easter Sunday, April 8 and will also feature D-Cryme, Efya, Tiffany, Raquel, Stay Jay, Awal and Guru.
