Two people have been confirmed dead, with the third victim battling for his life at the Sawla-Tuna-Kalva district hospital in the Savannah region.
The Savannah regional police command, which confirmed the incident to Joy News, said the victims were shot yesterday, Thursday, March 5, at close range and in broad daylight by an unknown assailant in the Gbeniyiri township.
There has not been any arrest or confirmation of what triggered the latest shooting.

The Savannah Regional Security Council, led by Saulisu Be-Awuribe, is scheduled to visit the community today to ascertain the cause of the incident.
This incident has come at a time when several measures, including a Presidential mediation Committee led by Mr Emmanuel Bombade, which submitted its findings last week to President John Dramani Mahama for a lasting solution to the conflict.
Also, a spiritual purification was performed by the landowners.

The deceased has been deposited at the Sala-Tuns-Kalba district hospital
