Two workers are feared trapped in a collapsed building under construction in Berekusu near Kwabenya on the Greater Accra-Eastern Region border, Wednesday.
The artisans were working on the building when it collapsed on them. For the most part, the first and second-floor pillars are visible unlike the ground floor which is fully walled.

According to an eyewitness, Patience Kunama who spoke to Myjoyonline.com, there were about 20 workers on the site when the unfortunate incident happened.
Kunama who is a teacher at the nearby Berekum LA Basic and junior high school said, "I was teaching when all of a sudden we heard a loud bang noise with lots of dust rising and so everyone came out running. Then we saw that the two-storey building under construction had caved in."

She said the workers were traumatised by the occurrence and are unwilling to speak to anyone, some of them said some of their colleagues who were earlier trapped have been rescued.
However, others claim two other workers have been trapped in the debris.
Police and officers from the Ghana National Fire Service have been on the site to access the situation and help rescue those feared trapped.
