Kwabena Adeanyamebeye, a labourer and his uncle, John Essumang on Tuesday appeared before a Sekondi District Magistrate's Court for allegedly conspiring to commit crime and attempted murder.
Their pleas were not taken and were remanded to re-appear on November 18.
Prosecuting, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Richard Boatey, said at about 2000 hours on October 13, the complainant John Amoah and some witnesses in the case were eating when Essumang who is also known as Soccer came to the scene.
He said Essumang invited the complainant for a discussion over a disputed piece of land leading to a misunderstanding over the location for the meeting.
ASP Boatey said Essumang held the shoulder of the complainant and suddenly, Adenyamebeye emerged from the darkness and shot Amoah in the abdomen.
He said the complainant who was bleeding profusely with his intestines gushed out chased the accused persons while shouting "Adenyamebeye has killed me".
ASP Boatey said later in the night, Adenyamebeye was arrested, while Essumang was also apprehended in his hideout at Nsuaem.
He said Essumang initially denied shooting the complainant but later admitted the offence.
