Asante Kotoko assistant coach, Godwin Ablordey, was left infuriated by the nature of the Tamale pitch and the state of Ghana football after their 1-1 draw with Bolga All Stars.
The Porcupine Warriors took the lead through Yakubu Mohammed but were pegged back in the second half in what they perceive to be a result of intimidation on the referee as well as the deplorable state of the playing surface
And the former captain of the club is looking for improved measures to improve the game in the country.
“It was a very difficult game because of the nature of the pitch. It is very bad for Ghana football. If we are going to continue to play football like this it will be very bad.
"I am not thinking about the points ive lost here today, but I'm thinking about Ghana football as a whole. We need to do things very well."
"Look at the park are playing in, there are no seats and anybody can enter, and they were throwing stones onto the field. It is very bad. If we want to improve football in this country we have to do something about this,” he said.
