Thieves broke into a saloon car belonging to Enoch Osei Mensah, Protocol Officer to Vice President Aliu Mahama and left a warning note that they would return.
The note: "We shall return," was stuck in the car after the thieves smashed the rear windscreen of the vehicle and made away with a sound system and personal belongings.
Mr Mensah told journalists at his official residence in Accra that he detected the crime on March 28, 2007 when he was preparing to travel with the Vice President to the Northern Region for an official visit.
"This is the second time I have been bugled. I am appealing to the Government to offer protection to me, my family and other senior public officials who live in the flat, to forestall such occurrence."
