Former Hearts of Oak Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Vincent Odotei Sowah believes Coach David Duncan deserved to be ditched by the Hearts of Oak Board.
Hearts relieved the 50-year old tactician of his post on Friday after both parties arrived at a consensus that parting ways was the best move in the interest of the club.
However, supporters and football administrators were furious with the decision made by the club's headed board by Togbe Afede to get rid of the coach.
But Odotei has jumped to support the management and board's decision to axe the former Ashantigold's coach.
"Initially, I was shocked to hear the news that Duncan has been sacked. But after consulting the board and management of the club, I believe this is the right decision the board took," Odotei said on Asempa FM's Ultimate sports.
"Coach Duncan is a good coach but the board took the right decision."
"This decision is in the interest of the club and Ghana Football. I hope the supporters understand the board's decision because the club is breaking away from the past."
"I hope with time, the supporters understand how modern management works. Duncan is a fantastic coach, but his human relation is under question."
"Capello, Mourinho and Del Bosque won La Liga and Champions League for Real Madrid respectively, but they were all sacked."
"A coach should not be arrogant and must not undermine the system of his team."
The Board of Directors of Accra Hearts of Oak will on Monday meet at the club secretariat to decide whether to reinstate sacked technical head Coach Duncan after he was handed his quit letter at the club’s training grounds on Friday.
