Police in Wa in the Upper West region have impounded a truckload of substances suspected to be Indian hemp.
The Kia truck was traveling from Techiman to Babile in the Lawra District when it was intercepted.
The driver and mate have been arrested. Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Inspector Adu Amankwah, told Joy News the substances were concealed under bags of cement that were in the vehicle and the suspects claimed they were sending the cannabis to Babile.
The suspects will be arraigned before court Wednesday.
