In a strategic move, Wakanow, Africa's leading travel technology company has announced the
promotion of Sodie Osei-Bonsu as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Rest of West Africa.
The news was officially disclosed by the Group CEO, Bayo Adedeji, in a statement released
from the company's headquarters in Lekki, Lagos on Friday, January 13, 2024.

"Today, we are pleased to announce the promotion of Sodie Osei-Bonsu as the CEO, Rest of West Africa, a role that encompasses both Anglophone and Francophone markets in West Africa, excluding Nigeria. This decision is a testament to Sodie’s outstanding leadership and pivotal role in driving the strategic growth of Wakanow," said Bayo Adedeji.
Sodie Osei-Bonsu, formerly the Senior Vice President, Anglophone & Francophone West Africa markets, has been a key driver in the expansion of Wakanow's profitable relationships in the travel industry.
Her successful leadership in Ghana and the strategic expansion into Anglophone and Francophone markets, including Gambia, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Togo, and Cote d'Ivoire, respectively, positioned her as the ideal candidate for the CEO role.

Adedeji emphasized the importance of Sodie's promotion, stating, "Sodie's deep understanding of the travel landscape in Africa, coupled with her innovative approach, makes her the perfect leader to oversee our operations in the region. Her vision aligns with Wakanow's commitment to democratizing travel and providing seamless experiences for our customers."
