Government has denied media reports that the District Chief Executive for Ahafo Ano South has been sacked for exploding in anger at a public function.
Gabriel Barima was recently caught on video hurling tantrums at a member of the audience he was addressing at the event.
He stormed out of the programme in protest to the sounding of a local expletive which he found offensive.
The video has been widely circulated on social media.
The Government has opened investigations into the matter.
Some newspapers reported on Thursday that Mr. Barima has been sacked for his public misconduct but the deputy Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Baba Jamal has denied the report in an interview with XYZ News.
According to him, the DCE is still at post while investigations are underway.
