The Presidential candidate for the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom has made a rallying call on Ghanaians to give him a chance as president, promising that their trust will not be breached. Speaking on Joy FM's Super Morning Show Friday, Dr. Nduom said he was sure Ghanaians ‘liked’ the PPP and its promise of competent, incorruptible leadership but wondered whether that would translate into votes for the party. “They say they like Paa Kwesi Nduom [but] will Ghanaians vote for PPP and Papa Kwesi Nduom…?” Shedding light on his tour of various parts of the country, the PPP flag bearer noted he had been well received by the people who expressed their appreciation for his ‘good works’. In the Central region where he hails from, for instance, Dr Nduom said he had invested heavily in businesses and provided employment opportunities for many, as well as provided education facilities like libraries to schools and sponsored many students to pursue formal education. Same had been replicated in other parts of the country, he highlighted. Dr. Nduom said the people of the Central Region should vote for him not because he comes from there but because of what he has done better the lives of the people. He said Ghananains must not vote for voting sake; they must vote for development and a positive change in their lives. “You should vote so that your vote becomes something important, something positive by voting for the PPP,” he insisted.
