Promoted Premier League side, Sekondi Eleven Wise, secured their first win this term with a 2-1 win against Gamba All Blacks at the Essipong Stadium on Monday night.
Wise took the lead when James Bissue fired home from an acute angle on 17 minutes after dominating play.
The Sekondi-based club added the second on the stroke of half-time when Jeff Aryee rose above the defenders with a blistering header.
All Blacks came back strongly in the second half and reduced the deficit through midfielder Kobina Dodzi.
Dodzi applied his head to Daniel Asamoah's cross and scared the home fans.
The match was the opening fixture for Wednesday's match day two ties.
It was Wise's first home win in a decade and moved from the bottom-three of the league to sixth-placed.
