The Western Regional branch of the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will continue to forge strategic partnership between the business community and the people to enhance development and economic growth. The Chamber will also explore avenues to support its operations, ensure easy access to credit for members, promote private enterprise, business excellence and individual achievement. Mr. Ato Van-Ess, Chairman of the Sekondi-Takoradi Regional Chamber, gave the assurance at an end-of-year party, organized by the group for the media, in Takoradi on Friday. He said the Chamber would keep on serving as the voice of business entrepreneurs committed to the enhancement of economic prosperity and improvement of the lives of the people of the region. Mr.Van-Ess urged members to work harder towards the development of the Chamber and said the body has plans to undertake social responsibility activities to enhance relationship between it and the people. Mr. David Adzovie, Assistant Human Resource and Development Manager of John Bitar Company Limited, said the company would renovate the offices of the Chamber and refurbish them to enhance its operations. He appealed to the Chamber to support education and to discourage illegal felling of trees in the region. Mr. Emmanuel Eshun, accountant of Seaweld Engineering Limited, promised that the company would support the construction of new offices for the Chamber and donates toward its social responsibility activities.
