A former DCE for Yendi, Habib Tijani, has been detained at the CID Headquarters in Accra.
Mr. Tijani was the DCE during the Dagbon crisis which led to the murder of the overload Ya-Na Yakubu Andani and about forty elders in 2002.
He was invited by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) over the weekend and handed over to the CID.
Spokesperson for the Abudu Royal gate, Dr. Ziblim Idi, tells Joy News he cannot confirm whether his arrest is in connection with the death of the Ya-Na.
Dr. Idi however says he will be surprised if Mr. Tijani is charged for the death of the Ya-Na because he was even commended by the investigative committee for how he handled the matter.
