Ghana midfielder Ishmael Yartey says he wouldn't be surprised if Black Stars head coach Kwesi Appiah recalls him to join the Black Stars squad.
The nimble footed forward has been in a scintillating form since joining Swiss side FC Sion last summer.
Last week, the 23-year-old netted his first goal in almost one-and-half season to help FC Sion beat Grasshoppers 2-0, and was influential as his side walloped third-placed Luzern 3-0 in the Swiss Super League on Saturday.
Yartey told Asempa FM sports: "I am working extremely hard here and I believe my hardwork will pay off. I am performing well for my team (FC Sion) and I wouldn't be surprised if I get a call-up to the national team."
The 23-year-old received his first call up to the national team in May 2012 for Black Stars in this year's World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zambia after he was controversially dropped from the Black Satellites team in 2009 by Sellas Tetteh.
