About 15 final year students of Napkanduri SHS missed out on ongoing WASSCE due to renewed clashes between Kokombas and Bimobas in the northern region.
The clash which began Thursday morning has already claimed two lives and injured three persons who are currently receiving treatment at the Baptist Medical Centre.
The headmaster of the Nankpanduri Senior High School, Harrison Salifu told Joy News Kokomba students sitting the ongoing WASSCE were unable to do so because of the absence of a vehicle to transport them to the exam hall due to the clashes.
"Currently the Kokombas are not on campus. They don’t feel safe and normally when there are such skirmishes they run away," he said.
He however expressed the hope that all will be well. He called on the security personnel to fair in the dispatch of their duties.
Meanwhile the Regional Minister Bede Ziedeng told Joy News a combined team of military and police personnel have deployed to maintain law and order.
He added that officials of the National Peace Council have also been dispatched to the area to talk to the feuding parties.
