A VVIP bus carrying about 30 passengers has been involved in a fatal accident, Sunday.
The accident which took place on the Kumasi-Accra road near the popular rest stop called Linda Dor in the Eastern region claimed the lives of 3 passengers on the spot.
Scores of people suffered varying degree of injuries whilst about three people were reported to have been trapped under the bus.
An eyewitness disclosed to Myjoyonline.com that the accident occurred at exactly 10 minutes to 6:00p.m whilst it was heavily raining.
She explained the torrent nature of the rain created visibility challenges for motorists. The driver may not have seen properly resulting in the accident, she added.
The police, Fire Service personnel, as well as residents of the area, got to the scene to help survivors.
The driver of the bus, who is in a critical condition was rushed together with the other surviving passengers to the Nkawkaw Holy Family Hospital where they are receiving treatment.
