Thirty-three heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Ukraine visited Okhmatdyt, one of Ukraine's largest children's hospitals, which was heavily damaged by a Russian missile strike. Thirty-one people were reported dead, with over a hundred injured.
The attendees honoured the victims with a moment of silence.
The delegation witnessed the aftermath of the barbaric Russian missile strike on a medical facility treating civilians, including children with cancer and other severe illnesses.
Russia launched strikes on Kyiv, Kryvyi Rih, Dnipro, and cities in the Donetsk region. Okhmatdyt hospital in Kyiv was among the targets. During a joint press conference with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine is calling for an emergency UN Security Council meeting due to the strike on civilian infrastructure, including the children's hospital.

Zelenskyy urged collective efforts to hold Russia accountable for terror and condemned President Vladimir Putin for ordering the strikes.
He stated, "Every time there are attempts to discuss peace with him, Russia responds with strikes on homes and hospitals. This is why we can only force Russia into peace, and we can only do this together with everyone in the world who genuinely seeks peace. This requires sufficient support, determination, and truly joint action.”
The Head of State also noted that he has instructed government officials to find a technically prepared hospital where Okhmatdyt doctors can continue to provide care for children.
