The Hawks of Togo were allegedly robbed shortly after their arrival in South Africa to participate in the 2013 Africa Nations Cup.According to insiders some personal belongings as well as some cash disappeared from the rooms of some players, as mentioned by Emmanuel Adebayor to MTNFootball.com on Saturday at their Sun City hotel.While the exact circumstances of the incident have not yet been disclosed, Togo admitted being in relation with the police.“Police are conducting an investigation, therefore we are waiting for the latter to be completed before releasing any comments,” an official told MTNFootball.com at their training on Monday.
Togo will face the Ivory Coast on Tuesday at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg for their first match in Group D.
