The Founder and leader of Christ Oilfields Authority Church, KingDavid Abazeri in partnership with Gospel organ of the church KingDavid Ministry, has organized a free health screening exercise as part of the Bishop’s birthday celebration for residents of Avenor and its environs in Accra.
Over 700 hundred residents took malaria, diabetes and eye screenings, while medicines were also administered on some of them.
A team of medical professionals were drawn from both public- and-state owned health facilities in Accra which includes Manprobi Polyclinic, KDS Health and Acumed Diagnostic Centre.
During the program, members of the Ministry went through the neighborhood to engage people with the word of God.
The event, celebrated under the Theme: Community Jesus Birthday Action, was used to feed the needy and the aged in the community, followed by a crusade in which prayers were said for the nation.
A birthday cake was later cut in the Ministry’s Auditorium to climax the celebration.
Entering its fifth edition, the annual event has been held at places such as CMB in Accra, Mallam Atta Market, Osu Oxford Street and Manprobi.
Speaking during the event, Bishop KingDavid Abazeri thanked God for his mercies that has sustained the Ministry. He said the significance of the celebration is to share the message of God’s love with the Avenor community.
Bishop Abazeri noted that providing free health care, backed by the world of God, is an ample demonstration of love shown to the people of the community.
He pointed out that sharing the gospel is powerful to save mankind from all kinds of afflictions.
Touching on how he selects communities for the charity birthday celebrations, he said it has been a direction of God and therefore consult God to point him where to celebrate it.
The Bishop’s wife, Mrs Abazeri, advised the elderly to embark on regular health check ups and to be conscious of their diet.
