World’s number two Spirits and Wines beverage company, Pernod Ricard, has rewarded its employees with a trip to the home of Jameson in Ireland and France.
The travel experience was designed to reward deserving Pernod Ricard staff members from thirteen countries in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) region for their excellent sales performance.
The all-expense paid trip was intended to foster and instil Pernod Ricard’s culture in every employee. It also sought to help employees familiarize themselves with the birthplace of Pernod Ricard, and the home of Jameson.
The employees of this year’s trip shared exciting experiences in Cork, where they attended Jameson Connects, an experiential event that combines food, music and the Bond and Connect activities, amongst others.
They were also taken through an educational talk by the global Jameson brand ambassador, as well as Ger Buckley, Master Cooper (the person who sources, repairs and maintains all Jameson barrels).
Julian Sackey an employee of Pernod Ricard could not hide his joy when he shared his experiences after the trip said: “We had a great time during the trip and we are all grateful for such an experience”.
Commenting on the trip, Eunice Osei-Tutu, Corporate Relations Manager said, “We are happy to have given our staff this thrilling experience in the home of Jameson in Ireland. As a business, one of our key focus areas is to give our employees the best experience as well as appreciate their contribution to the organization as a whole”.
She explained that the CEO for Sub-Saharan Africa announced the Jameson sales target in December 2017. “We had to reach our target by June 2018, the Pernod Ricard financial year end. The SSA region achieved its target and was informed it would be travelling to two countries: France and Ireland for the incentive trip. So, in a week, we visited Paris, Cork and Dublin.”
She further stated that Pernod Ricard is a company that strives to be the best by constantly evolving, trying new things and gaining success. “The culture at Pernod Ricard is one of conviviality. We make sure that we provide a dynamic working environment for all our employees in order to achieve our business goals.”
