The Parents Teachers Association (PTA) of the Juaben Senior High School (SHS) in Ashanti, on Wednesday donated a-58-seater Tata Bus valued GH¢70,000 to the school.
Mr. Kwumankuma Sarpong, the PTA Chairman, at ceremony to hand over the bus, at Juaben, said the vehicle had already been insured and pledged the continued support of the Association to help improve teaching and learning in the school.
He commended the teaching and non-teaching staff of the school for their commitment to duty.
Mr. Sarpong appealed to the authorities of the school to regularly maintain the bus so that it could last for a long period.
Reverend Isaac Osei-Boadi, headmaster of the School, who received the keys to the bus, thanked the PTA for the assistance and said the PTA had also donated ten water tanks to solve the perennial water problem of the school, constructed six teachers' bungalows and a girls' dormitory.
He also commended the Old Students' Association of the School for providing the school with a modern security gate worth GH¢5,000.
Rev. Osei-Boadi appealed to government build an additional boys' dormitory to help solve the acute accommodation problems facing the school.
