Head of the African Union-United Nations Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) and Joint Chief Mediator, Mohammed Ibn Chambas expects Ghana to reach the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals in Brazil.
Ibn Chambas, a former Ghana Foreign Minister will be watching the Black Stars play Sudan on Friday in Omdurman in the second round qualifier, a game he has tipped the four-time African champions to win.
"I was in Doha and when I was told the Black Stars were coming I had to quickly finish off my meeting and come here to give my support," Ibn Chambas told the players when he visited them in camp.
"The Brazil of Africa is Ghana and when there is a World Cup in Brazil, there is no way Ghana can miss the tournament. We must be there.
"The way I have seen you today in your shirt is inspiring that you are going for the win against Sudan tomorrow. They will know the Black Stars are in town."
The Black Stars, who are chasing a third consecutive appearance at the World Cup finals are just one point adrift Zambia with the side that finishes top, advancing to next round.
