APTECH Limited, a global learning solutions company, is set to bring aviation, hospitality, travel and tourism training to people following the establishment of its academy in Ghana.
Through Prudential Solutions Limited, Aptech obtained the franchise to operate its aviation and hospitality academy in Ghana, which is aimed at training students for both local and global careers in the industry.
The programmes to be offered to students are designed to foster excellence and professionalism and cover the contemporary assortment of skills required to succeed in the industry.
The Aptech Director for Africa, Mr. Kallol Mukherjee, and the Executive Director for the academy, Mr. Marcus Obeng-Sika, have subsequently met with the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Ms Dzifa Gomashie, to brief her on what the academy intends to achieve in Ghana.
Mr. Obeng-Sika also called for collaboration between the ministry and the academy so that they could collectively work towards the success of the school in order that Ghana could eventually become a hub of aviation experts in the sub-region.
The Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Ms Gomashie said the biggest responsibility of any country was to create jobs for its people and as such any initiative that was geared towards this was welcome.
Mr. Mukherjee assured the deputy minister that his outfit would respect the culture of the land and provide the best training for people who would be enrolled in the academy.
The delegation also met with the President of the Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Seth Adjei Baah, who also pledged the chamber’s support for the success of the academy so together they can develop the country.
He appealed to the management of Aptech to bring in their expertise in the aviation and hospitality sectors into the country to enable the country develop in that sector as well.
He added that the Chamber was ever ready to give investors all the needed assistance
