Black Stars midfielder Sulley Muntari says he has understood Coach Kwasi Appiah’s decision to substitute him in their 2-0 victory over Lesotho in the 2014 African World Cup qualifier.
Sulley Muntari confronted Coach Kwasi Appiah on why he substituted him and went straight into the dressing room in disagreement over his substitution during the game in Maseru last week.
The AC Milan star who came back to sit on the bench for the remainder of the game in an interview on Joy Sports link stated that, he understood Kwasi Appiah for his substitution after the game.
“I asked him why he changed me and he told me it was a tactical reason which I did understand him,” said Muntari
“if you want to win or have something good you have to respect everyone and that’s what is happening in the national team.
“Coach Appiah is a cool person and I will never disrespect him”.
The 28 year old had come under heavy criticism from many who believe he failed to conduct himself properly after his substitution as one of the senior members of the current Black Stars team.
