Fire has razed the over 100-year-old building that houses the offices of the Administrator of Stool Lands and Land Valuation Division in Sekondi in the Western Region.
The destructive fire which started Sunday morning swept through the entire building, Graphiconline has reported.
The cause of the fire is not immediately known but personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) have responded to the distress call and are battling the fire.

One district, one fire station
The incident is being recorded barely 24 hours after the Chief Fire Officer,Edwin Ekow Blankson, appealed to government to equip fire stations in the districts to enhance their performance.
Edwin Ekow Blankson said industrial development was usually accompanied by fire and other hazards, therefore the Fire Service presence in every district was paramount to their operations.
Mr Blankson said this at an induction and church service ceremony in Accra to officially swear him into office as the Chief Fire Officer (CFO) of the GNFS.
He said management had put together a five-year strategic plan to guide the service to attain their vision to modernise the GNFS into a world class fire and rescue service capable of providing efficient emergency response and fire protection to Ghanaians.
The CFO stated that in pursuance of these goals, the Service’s human resource capacity would be strengthened.
