Ghana Table Tennis chairman Reverend Richmond Quarcoo has resigned as head of the association after three years in charge.
The sport under his watch saw participation in various competitions in Africa with the latest being the 5th West African Table Tennis Federation championship in which Ghana won nine medals.
Quarcoo in an interview with Joy sports noted that, new commitments elsewhere motivated his decision.
"I resigned because of personal reasons not because I have a problem with anybody and we all can testify to the fact that the Ghana Table Tennis Association is doing well," said Rev Quarcoo
"I don’t have a problem with any of our federation members, we have worked as a team over the years but I have resigned because there are other assignments that have come and the work load is going to be too much.
"I feel that if I still hold onto this post, I may not have time for the association like before and if care is not taking I will end up disappointing them."
Reverend Quarcoo took over from former chairman Squandron leader retired Ebo Bartels in May 2010 after an election during congress.
