When distributors with Promasidor company ltd gathered for what was dubbed a “Dialogue and Dinner Night”, they were given no expectation of an encounter with veteran gospel star Cindy Thompson.
But the legend, a surprise guest, did not fail to live up to her reputation which spread like wildfire after the release of that award-winning album in 2000, ‘Cindy’s Messiah’.
And on this night, she made her impact in just two songs ‘Dromo Sonn’ ‘It is all grace’ and Awawa Do [Wonderful love].
The room of business-minds got busy singing and dancing to the songs in a refreshing release of gratitude to God.
Cindy Thompson now Mrs Cindy Quainoo came with her husband and was mobbed by the distributors many of whom confessed to be her long-time fans.
“I love what I do” she spoke to a pool of reporters after the program.
With five albums spanning 20 years, the gospel diva made it no secret her next album should be ready by the end of the year.
Her performance paved way to dishing out of awards to Promasidor distributors for their loyalty and hardwork.
CEO of Tonifel, Madam Felicia Banahene, who won in several categories was adjudged the top distributor.
She received a KIA container truck.
