Ghana winger Haminu Dramani has signed a two-year contract for Portuguese outfit Gil Vicente, MTNFootball.com can exclusively reveal.
The 27-year-old has ended months of inactivity after quitting French Ligue 2 side Arles Avignon due to unpaid wages.
Dramani is making a return to a top-flight European league and an avenue to revive his international career.
"We were following him the last two seasons ago. He's an excellent player but he coundn't join us because of his wages,” club president António Fiúza confirmed.
"The salary he was receiving in France (Arles-Avignon) was incompatible with our budget but we can solve it."
Dramani moved to Europe in 2005 by signing for Serbian side Red Star Belgrade before making Ghana's squad for the 2006 FIFA World Cup finals in Germany.
The former Heart of Lions player scored the second goal in the 2-1 win over USA which ensured the Black Stars progressed to the last 16.
He was later signed by Turkish side Genclerbirligi and then Lokomotiv Moscow in Russia
