Uganda reached their first AFCON for 39 years in 2017 and although they did not pass through the group stage, they looked comfortable at this level. They are one of the continent's most improved sides, formidably organised by their French coach Sebastien Desabre and brighter in the final third than they were two years ago, too. They can hold their own with the best and assuming they come through Group A, will be a particularly awkward opponent to face later on.
