Thousands of fanatic Black Stars supporters on Wednesday swarmed the Baba Yara Sports stadium to purchase advance tickets for the crucial World Cup qualifier between Ghana and Zambia scheduled for Friday.
The meandering queue formed in parts of the entry points at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium could easily have swayed people into believing that Wednesday was actually the World Cup battle day for the Stars.
Some of the patrons who were shoved and pushed around in a desperate fight for the tickets told Myjoyonline.com they will not wait on match day before getting the tickets.
Even though the match is to be played on an unfamiliar day-Friday- the stadium is expected to be filled to capacity, given the haste with which people were buying the tickets.
The fans did not also miss the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the Stars in their last training session before the epic clash against Zambia.
Meanwhile, the Zambian's are yet to arrive in the country less than 48 hours to go for the match.
