A bus carrying the Zambia National football team and officials has been besieged with fans shouting at the players "no training, no training". The bus had just arrived at the main entrance of the Kumasi Sports Staduim when it encountered a hostile crowd insisting it is too late for the opposing team to play. They claim FIFA rules say the away team are supposed to train before the host nation: but the team arrived after the Black Stars had finished training. The Ghana-Zambia match is a much-anticipated final Group D encounter of Africa's 2014 World Cup qualification series to be played on Friday at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi. Nothing but three points would do for Zambia to qualify for the play-offs. They trail Ghana by 11 points to 12, and Ghana will need to pick just one more point. At stake is an appearance at Brazil 2014 festivities. Controversy began surrounding the arrival of the Zambian team after their plan to travel directly from Lusaka to Kumasi was refused by Ghana Aviation authorities. the officials say Kumasi is not an international airport and cannot take international aircraft. and it is also undergoing some rehabilitation works. The Zambians nonetheless managed to arrive in Kumasi today after touching down in Accra. They arrived at the sports stadium to train but got stuck at the main entrance. Armed police presence are heavily guarding the bus while Zambia officials talk to Ghana Football Association.
