A driver’s mate and his friend have been burnt to death while asleep in a bus that caught fire Friday dawn at Odorkor in Accra.
The mate has been identified by his sister Kwabena Tongo, 26yrs. The identity of his friend remains unconfirmed.
The tragedy happened at about 12:40am when eye witnesses say they suddenly noticed thick billowing smoke and fire from the Mazda mini-bus with registration number GX 3119 -13.
They called in firefighters from the Ghana National Fire Service as they watched the fire ravage the commercial bus.
They only noticed the burnt bodies after the fire was put out. Their bodies looking very gory have since been deposited at an undisclosed mortuary.
