President John Mahama has appointed a former Managing Director of the State Insurance Company, Lionel Mobila, as Chairman of the National Insurance Commission.
Other members of the Commission appointed by the President in consultation of with the Council of State are Emmanuel Baba Mahama, Dr. Albert Gemegah and the Insurance Commissioner.
Mamfehene, Osabarima Ansah Sasraku III, has also been appointed Chairman of the Board of the Metro Mass Transport Company Limited.
Meanwhile, the President has also, in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20(1) of the Local Government Act 1993, Act 462, nominated Mr. Ibrahim Baidoo as the Municipal Chief Executive for Ashaiman.
If approved, Mr Baidoo will replace the current MCE, Numo Adinortey Addison.
