Two children and their father have been burnt to death in a wooden structure in Otano at East Legon in Accra.
The children, aged two and three years old were burnt to death whilst they slept in the wooden structure on Saturday night.
The father, Kwame Yeboah, died last night after he sustained severe injuries in his attempt to save the children on Saturday.
Ama Obenewaa, the 32 year-old mother of the children and wife of the deceased said she was selling credit outside when the incident happened.
She said although the incident is unfortunate she is still thankful to God, adding that people go through worse stuff but they still kept faith in God.
Legon Police Crime Officer, DSP Emmanuel Basintale, told Joy News investigations have been launched into the incident.
The bodies have been sent to the hospital for autopsy, the Police disclosed.
He said preliminary reports from the Fire Serive indicate that the fire was most likely caused by embers from a mosquito coil.
