President John Mahama has, in consultation with the Council of State, appointed a former deputy minister for communications, Commander G. M. Griffiths (Rtd.) as the Chairman of the Council of the Ghana Shippers' Authority.
The president has also made three appointments to the board of SIC Life. They are: Professor Joshua Abbor- Chairman, Laud Baddoo- Member and Genevieve Ocansey- Member.
Brigadier General Ishmael Quartey and Ms. Rosetta Olympio have also been appointed to the Board of the Driver & Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) as Chairman and Member respectively.
Other appointments made by the President include Dr. Mawuli Adjei as Chairman of the Ghana Institute of Languages and Dr. G. Nasser Adam as a member.
