Drivers and residents of Ashiaman in the Greater Accra Region, have resolved to embark on a series of demonstrations again, to get authorities to fix their roads.
The drivers in June this year staged a demonstration to draw attention to the need for authorities to repair the dilapidated roads.
Former Municipal Chief Executive for the area Nuumo Adinortey Addison immediately ordered the contractor to begin fixing the road, promising work would be completed by December.
A report by Joy News' Hannah Odame reveals work has stalled almost four months on, as the contractor claims government is yet to release funds for the work.
"In fact we are not receiving funds at all on the work...we hear they will pay, they will pay but still nothing," said Augustine Dadzie, Site Engineer on the Ashaiman road project.
Mr. Dadzie said the project is "far behind time" and was emphatic that the December deadline is not a possibility.
