The Techiman Divisional Police in the Bono East Region have arrested four persons suspected to be dealing in cocaine and Indian hemp trade.
Briefing Joy News' Anass Sabit Divisional Police commander C/Supt Bossman Ohene-Boadi said, on Thursday, the police through intelligence gathering received the information that some people were dealing in illicit drugs at a hideout.
"The police then moved in and through our patrol team arrested one Samuel Kwadwo Adu popularly known as Alhaji Bello who led the police in arresting the three others," Mr. Bossman added.
Alhaji Bello who is on remand after being arrested a few weeks back disclosed that he wanted to sell the leftover goods at his disposal in order pay his supplier Fuseini Mumuni Rasheed, a resident of Asawase in the Ashanti region.
C/Supt Ohene-Boadi disclosed that a search conducted on the suspects revealed over 450 wraps of substances suspected to be cocaine and India hemp.
The four, Fuseini Mumuni Rasheed, Samuel Kwadwo Adu aka Alhaji Bello, Nimo Amos and Ilyasu Shaibu are currently in police custody assisting with investigations.
