Medeama Sporting Club have confirmed, they are in talks with the Ghana Football Association to relieve coach Augustine Evans Adotey of his duties as head coach of the national U17 girls team.
The Tarkwa-based club are set to name Adotey as substantive coach following the resignation of Dutchman Hans Van der Pluijm early this week.
But his work as Black Maidens head coach has become a major course of concern for Medeama who are now finding their rhythm in the Ghana Premier league.
Spokesperson of SC Medeama Ebenezer Aidoo says they want coach Adotey on a full time basis.
"We definitely want to make him the head coach of the team but he also expresses the concern that he is the head coach of the Black Maidens team so we are in talks with the Ghana FA to give us the mandate for him to be our head coach," he told Joy sports
"Coach Adotey is the only person to decide whether to be with us or the Black Maidens but as a club we want him as our substantive coach so can have full concentration on the team."
