Ashgold continued their unbeaten run in the 2013-14 premier league by piping glorious Accra Hearts of Oak by a lone goal.
A 46th minute goal by S Mumuni was enough to down the Phobians in a feisty encounter at the Lenclay Stadium.
With the victory, the miners join the Phobians in second spot on the league log with 19 points apiece, three points adrift leaders Kumasi Asante Kotoko who were beaten 2-0 by Hearts of Lions at Kpando.
Isaac Okae got the Lions in front in the 17th minute when he connected a cross on the right of attack.
The lanky striker who was a mouthful for the Kotoko defence again set up Conney Idan for the second goal in the 27th minute.
Idan needed a last touch in a goal mouth melee to put the game beyond the reach of the league leaders.
