Accra quaked with excitement and fun Saturday evening when top Nigerian and Ghanaian entertainers and comedians serenaded revelers who thronged the Accra Sports Stadium for the biggest musical concert this year, the Glo Slide & Bounce.
True to a highly anticipated billing, Nigerian twin songsters P-Square and Africa’s number one rapping machine, MI, teamed up with Ghanaian stars Edem, Sherifa Gunu, Kwabena Kwabena, Asem and Gyedu Blay Ambolley to deliver jaw-dropping performances by belting out delightful songs to keep attendees from all walks of life on their feet, dancing till the wee hours of Sunday morning.
A cross section of the audience thanked Glo Mobile for always investing in the people and promoting African indigenous culture and artistes while describing the Slide & Bounce Concert as unforgettable, unique and highly entertaining.
They commended all the artistes that performed but singled out P-Square for special praises for their over two hour performance at the concert laced with their ingenious traditional twins competition during which they performed stunts like playing different musical instruments and showing off their endowments to prove who is better.
Comperes, DJ Black, Okey Bakassi and Reggie Rockstone ensured there were no dull moments by filling intervals with popular contemporary music, supplying rib-cracking jokes and adlibbing, as well as organizing spontaneous dancing and miming competitions in which winners were generously rewarded with Glo corporate gifts and free credits.
The Accra Concert is the second leg of a three-city Glo Slide & Bounce show organized to express appreciation to loyal subscribers who have been faithful to the Glo brand in the last eighteen months of its operations in Ghana.
The next and final Slide and Bounce encounter holds at the Takoradi Jubilee Park, on Saturday November 23 and show-lovers in and around the Harbour City may attend by simply recharging a minimum of GHc 5 on their Glo line and text “Takoradi” to a short code 5301 while those not yet on the network can buy a Glo SIM and go through the same process to savour the biggest musical show to rock Ghana this year.
