Black Stars' head coach Kwasi Appiah is excited to lead the Ghana team for its third successive FIFA World Cup campaign.
Egypt produced a spirited display to beat Ghana 2-1 in Cairo but it was a mere consolation as the Black Stars became the fourth African team to reach next year's World Cup finals with a comprehensive 7-3 aggregate win.
After the game, Kwesi Appiah told Asempa FM Sports that he feels proud as a Ghanaian coach to lead such a quality team to qualification.
"I feel great to coach this team. It is the wish of every Ghanaian to coach the national team. What the white man can do, the black man can do better if the FA support you," Appiah said.
"It was my ambition to reach the World Cup. I know my performance is a sort of encouragement for all the local and African coaches."
Speaking about the match itself, Kwasi Appiah said the Black Stars did not take things easy with the Pharoahs of Egypt.
"It was not an easy game. Egypt played better in the first half so I knew I had to do some changes in the second half to calm things down.
"They tried to attack us because they needed more goals and we had to hit them on the counter. My team is great but we have a lot more to do."
"A good team is a team that has a good bench so we will work hard to assemble a crop of good players for the World Cup," Appiah said.
