The newly elected executive of the New Patriotic Party Akwatia constituency have resolved to work extra hard to recapture the seat in the 2016 constituency election.
“The new executive pledged to work diligently to mobilize and organize party faithfuls to develop interest in the party activities in the constituency.”
In a statement signed by the Constituency Communication Officer, Nana Obeng Danquah, party faithfuls were asked to remain loyal, resolute and committed to the cause of the party.
It also called on them to offer suggestions and advice with the view of moving the party forward.
Until the 2012 election, the area has been the stronghold of the opposition NPP, which the leadership of the party there is assuring party faithfuls they will work “tirelessly to restore the constituency to its former status as an enviable constituency in the Eastern Region”.
The statement also congratulated the newly elected polling station executives and electoral area coordinators.
In accordance with the constitutional provision of the party, the newly elected constituency executives in consultation with the council of Elders and Patrons have appointed some additional executive members, it said.
