Man stabs 64-year-old aunt over money

A 64-year-old woman was on Monday stabbed several times by her nephew because she refused to give him money

An eye-witness told JoyNews that Ebenezer Agowah got angry when his aunt, Sarah Allotey, refused to give him money he asked for.

He locked the victim up in their living room and stabbed her in in the neck and stomach several times, Catherine Allotey, a granddaughter of Sarah Allotey told Joy News.

She said neigbours immediately called in the Police, but because Ebenezer had locked the door, they were unable to enter the room to rescue the woman who was bleeding profusely.

The Police, according to Catherine, shot at Ebenezer through a small opening in a window in an attempt to stop him from hurting the victim further.

The severely injured woman has been sent to the Cocoa Clinic at Kaneshie where she is receiving treatment, while Ebenezer has also been sent to the Dansoman Police station.
