Hiplife artiste Kofi Kinaata says his position as a very concerned citizen inspired him to compose his trending “Things Fall Apart”.
In an interview with Hitz FM's Doreen Avio, the rapper explained that he decided to touch on very sensitive issues in the country using his music.
He said issues concerning the current economic hardships and hypocrisy of supposed religious people in the country are quite difficult to talk about so he decided to put it in his music so people can relate to it.
The artiste, born Martin King Arthur, said “things are falling apart and it’s a reality. Things are not the same anymore. I have found a way of saying the truth without getting people offended.”
Kofi Kinaata stated that his song is supposed to help change the mindset of Ghanaians on how to make the country a better place.
He stressed that as a concerned citizen of this nation, it is his responsibility to use his craft to help move the nation forward.
“I did not talk about one particular group. The song is for all and everyone can relate to the song. It’s about our everyday life. Just like our president said; we have to be citizens, not spectators,” he added.
‘Things Fall Apart’ Kofi Kinaata’s new single has received great feedback from Ghanaians and industry persons. The audio has so far garnered over 171,000 views on YouTube.
