Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, has embarked on a two-day working visit to acquaint himself with developments on some ongoing and proposed projects in the region.
Accompanied by members of staff of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Sports Authority (NSA), the minister’s first point of call was the Anfoega Senior High School where he inspected their Multi-Purpose Tennis Court which is among twenty multi-purpose Tennis Courts the Ministry has built across the country.
He expressed his disappointment at the state of the project and tasked the Assembly to immediately contact the contractor to ensure that the project was completed.
The minister was later accompanied by the Chief of Kpando, Togbe Dagadu to visit the Kpando Sports Stadium where the Chief indicated that Football is one of the major sporting activities in his municipality and appealed to the Hon. Minister to upgrade the Kpando Sports Stadium to the status of a sports complex.
